Coaches with USAR Coaching Certifications must maintain their background checks and SafeSport certifications. These generally expire every two years and year, respectively.
The plurality of coaches (for regions that start in the Fall) get rechecked in August or September so there have been delays for 15s coaches in late August or into September.
WHY IS THIS A PROBLEM? Matches in RX require a current, certified coach.
How do you check to see if you may have an issue?
As an RX Club Admin, go to https://admin.rugbyxplorer.com.au/
Go to Reports – Competition Management Reports – Accreditation Report and Email Report.
The file will have a lot of items in it (including past folks), so look at the current coaches and their “Expiry Date”. [You may see multiple old background checks, so only look at the most current one.]
Get the coach to take a look at their own account (https://myaccount.rugbyxplorer.com.au/) and see if they can renew for the background check or SafeSport now. Generally, the prompts should show up 10-14 days prior to the due date.
